LODGE AT TORREY PINES OPENS GRILL
Menu Features California Casual Bistro Cuisine

LA JOLLA, Calif. -The Lodge at Torrey Pines has just added a second, more casual dining venue with outdoor seating among Torrey Pines offering beautiful views of the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course. The Grill's stunning interiors and adjoining bar feature warm wood with accents of leather and copper and a demonstration kitchen that showcases California casual bistro cuisine. Large flat screen televisions throughout the restaurant and bar make it the perfect environment for event watching.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Jeff Jackson, Chef David Sokil's menu of soups, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pastas and entrees, feature a new twist on classic favorites. The lunch menu includes items such as Roasted Poblano Quesadilla, Charred Tomato Salsa, Lime Crema; Classic Monte Cristo; Drugstore Style Hamburger; Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Pickle; Old Fashioned Corned Beef Reuben, Grilled Rye; Spicy Chicken Wings and Blue Cheese Waldorf Salad; and Roasted Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Spinach. The dinner menu features Dungeness Crabcakes with Tavern Slaw and Red Pepper Sauce; Braised Lamb Shank, Soft Polenta, Gremolata; Boston Clam Chowder, Smoked Bacon, Potatoes, Cream; Spaghetti, Pancetta, Roasted Red Peppers, Basil Pesto; and sides such as David's Blue Cheese Skillet Potatoes; Tim's Creamed Spinach and Buttermilk Onion Rings.

The Grill is open for Breakfast. Lunch and Dinner, serving continuously from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm seven days a week. The bar is open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is a tribute to the California Craftsman Movement and is modeled after Greene & Greene's famed Gamble and Blacker houses in Pasadena, Calif., two of the finest examples of early 1900's Craftsman-style architecture. The Lodge features 175 spacious guest rooms and suites, more than 13,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, and a 9,500 square-foot spa. The Lodge is adjacent to the Torrey Pines Golf Course and is within walking distance of Torrey Pines State Reserve.
